Magic Tofu

Hello everyone!

Yesterday night I decided I was going to cook a nice dinner for my sister & I because I felt like it and I realized I had a variety of great ingredients. I tried this awesome, fantastic, amazing vegetarian recipe I found on the internet. The name was not very helpful as in what were the origins of the meal but honestly, who cares! It is called "The Magic Tofu" and we'll keep it that way because it is delicious.

Here is the recipe, I will post a picture later tonight.

1 lb medium firm tofu, chopped
1/2 brocoli
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1/4 tsp dried chili, or 1 tsp Asian chili sauce
1/8 cup maple syrup (every quebec family has maple syrup on hand!)
1/8 cup Braggs (note: I used soy sauce)
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup dry roasted almonds, chopped (garnish)

In a medium saucepan on medium-high heat, saute the tofu in oil until browned. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the garlic, ginger, and chili. Saute for 5 minutes. Add the brocoli, the maple syrup, Braggs (or soy sauce), and lemon juice. Cover and cook until the liquid has evaporated. Garnish with almonds.

I served it on white rice with a little fresh coriander because ginger and corianger are an item.
